Abstract
A system and method for improving network storage accessibility, the method including: sending at least a first request for a data block to be sent from a storage device to a client device over a network connection; determining if the network is congested; initiating a client-specific buffer when it is determined that the network is congested, wherein the requested data block is stored in the client-specific buffer; and sending at least a second request for the data block stored within the client-specific buffer to be sent to the client device.
Claims19
A method for improving network storage accessibility, the method comprising:
- sending at least a first request for a data block to be sent from a storage device to a client device over a network connection;
- determining if the network is congested;
- initiating a client-specific buffer when it is determined that the network is congested, wherein the requested data block is stored in the client-specific buffer;
- and
- sending at least a second request for the data block stored within the client-specific buffer to be sent to the client device.
A non-transitory computer readable medium having stored thereon instructions for causing a processing circuitry to perform a process, the process comprising:
- sending at least a first request for a data block to be sent from a storage device to a client device over a network connection;
- determining if the network is congested;
- initiating a client-specific buffer when it is determined that the network is congested, wherein the requested data block is stored in the client-specific buffer;
- and
- sending at least a second request for the data block stored within the client-specific buffer to be sent to the client device.
A system for improving network storage accessibility, comprising:
- a processing circuitry;
- and
- a memory, the memory containing instructions that, when executed by the processing circuitry, configure the system to:
- send at least a first request for a data block to be sent from a storage device to a client device over a network connection;
- determine if the network is congested;
- initiate a client-specific buffer when it is determined that the network is congested, wherein the requested data block is stored in the client-specific buffer;
- and
- send at least a second request for the data block stored within the client-specific buffer to be sent to the client device.
