Abstract
A media recording element having capabilities to facilitate recording media for subsequent playback. The recording element further including features associated with limited operations of a hard drive of other similarly mechanical memory under certain operating conditions so as to limit power consumption and/or memory degradation.
Claims1
A method comprising:
- causing, by a computing device, storage of a first copy of media content to a mechanical memory;
- causing, by the computing device, storage of a second copy of the media content to a non-mechanical memory;
- receiving a request for the media content;
- and
- causing, based on the request and further based on comparing a current frequency of access to the media content with an anticipated frequency of access to the media content, delivery of the media content via one of the mechanical memory or the non-mechanical memory.
