(canceled)
A method of reducing the number of viable bacteria in tobacco comprising contacting said tobacco with an effective amount of a composition comprising a bacteriophage comprising a nucleic acid sequence at least 90% identical to SEQ ID NO:
- 1, wherein the reduced number of viable bacteria is as compared to a control tobacco in the absence of said composition.
A method of reducing the number of viable bacteria in tobacco comprising contacting said tobacco with an effective amount of a composition comprising a bacteriophage comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding an amino acid sequence comprising at least 90% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein the reduced number of viable bacteria is as compared to a control tobacco in the absence of said composition.
A method of reducing at least one tobacco-specific nitrosamine (TSNA) in tobacco comprising contacting said tobacco with an effective amount of a composition comprising a bacteriophage comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding an amino acid sequence comprising at least 90% sequence identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 2, wherein the reducing at least one TSNA is as compared to a control tobacco in the absence of said composition.
