Abstract
The present invention provides a particle and a composition for e.g., hypergolic ignition of rocket propellant. The disclosed particle and the composition comprise an energetic fuel additive and an ignition agent wherein the ignition agent is deposited on a surface of the particle.

A particle comprising an energetic fuel additive and an ignition agent, wherein said ignition agent is deposited on at least one surface of said particle.

A composition comprising:
- a fuel;
- a particle comprising an energetic fuel additive and an ignition agent;
- and
- an oxidizer in the form of a liquid or a gel,
- wherein said particle is suspended in said fuel.

A method for obtaining a hypergolic composition, the method comprising the following steps:
- obtaining a coated particle by coating at least one ignition agent on at least one surface of a solid particle comprising an energetic fuel additive;
- mixing a gelling agent and a liquid fuel, thereby obtaining a gelled fuel;
- and
- suspending said coated particle in said gelled fuel, thereby obtaining said hypergolic composition.
