Abstract
An embodiment of a motion estimator apparatus may include technology to receive a compound message, and perform rate distortion estimation and check refinement for two or more coding unit descriptions for a source block based on the received compound message. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.
Claims25
A motion estimation system, comprising:
- a processor;
- memory communicatively coupled to the processor;
- and
- logic communicatively coupled to the processor to:
- receive a compound message, and
- perform rate distortion estimation and check refinement for two or more coding unit descriptions for a source block based on the received compound message.
A motion estimation apparatus for use with a video encoder, comprising:
- one or more substrates;
- and
- logic coupled to the one or more substrates, wherein the logic is at least partly implemented in one or more of configurable logic and fixed-functionality hardware logic, the logic coupled to the one or more substrates to:
- receive a compound message, and
- perform rate distortion estimation and check refinement for two or more coding unit descriptions for a source block based on the received compound message.
A method of estimating motion, comprising:
- receiving a compound message;
- and
- performing rate distortion estimation and check refinement for two or more coding unit descriptions for a source block based on the received compound message.
At least one computer readable storage medium, comprising a set of instructions, which when executed by a computing device, cause the computing device to:
- receive a compound message;
- and
- perform rate distortion estimation and check refinement for two or more coding unit descriptions for a source block based on the received compound message.
