Abstract
A power transmitting apparatus supporting a plurality of wireless power transmission methods, acquires information about at least one wireless power transmission method supported by a power receiving apparatus from the power receiving apparatus, decides, based on the acquired information, a wireless power transmission method to be used for power transmission to the power receiving apparatus, and transmits power to the power receiving apparatus by the decided wireless power transmission method.

A power transmitting apparatus supporting a plurality of wireless power transmission methods, comprising:
- one or more memories storing instructions;
- and
- one or more processors executing the instructions to:
- decide a wireless power transmission method to be used for wireless power transmission to a power receiving apparatus, among the plurality of wireless power transmission methods supported by the power transmitting apparatus;
- perform a process for wireless power transmission with the power receiving apparatus according to the decided wireless power transmission method;
- perform, based on that the process for wireless power transmission according to the decided wireless power transmission method has failed, a process for wireless power transmission with the power receiving apparatus according to another wireless power transmission method different from the decided wireless power transmission method;
- and
- perform wireless power transmission to the power receiving apparatus, based on that the process for wireless power transmission is succeeded.
A control method for a power transmitting apparatus supporting a plurality of wireless power transmission methods, the control method comprising:
- deciding a wireless power transmission method to be used for wireless power transmission to a power receiving apparatus, among the plurality of wireless power transmission methods supported by the power transmitting apparatus;
- performing a process for wireless power transmission with the power receiving apparatus according to the decided wireless power transmission method;
- performing, based on that the process for wireless power transmission according to the decided wireless power transmission method has failed, a process for wireless power transmission with the power receiving apparatus according to another wireless power transmission method different from the decided wireless power transmission method;
- and
- performing wireless power transmission to the power receiving apparatus, based on that the process for wireless power transmission is succeeded.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing a computer program for controlling a computer to execute a control method for a power transmitting apparatus supporting a plurality of wireless power transmission methods, the control program comprising code to execute:
- deciding a wireless power transmission method to be used for wireless power transmission to a power receiving apparatus, among the plurality of wireless power transmission methods supported by the power transmitting apparatus;
- performing a process for wireless power transmission with the power receiving apparatus according to the decided wireless power transmission method;
- performing, based on that the process for wireless power transmission according to the decided wireless power transmission method has failed, a process for wireless power transmission with the power receiving apparatus according to another wireless power transmission method different from the decided wireless power transmission method;
- and
- performing wireless power transmission to the power receiving apparatus, based on that the process for wireless power transmission is succeeded,
- wherein the wireless power transmission is performed according to the wireless power transmission method in which the process for the wireless power transmission is succeeded.
