Abstract
The present disclosure pertains to a line connector for permanently connecting two or more electrical lines, with at least one metallic receiving sleeve which partially accommodates one of the lines, which exhibits at least a first through-opening as well as a second through-opening for introducing a welding tool or for introducing the lines, and at least a second compression section located between the through-openings, in which the receiving sleeve can be radially compressed. Furthermore, the present disclosure pertains to an electrical line assembly as well as a process for connecting two or more electrical lines.
Claims18
A line connector for permanently connecting two or more electrical lines comprising:
- at least one metallic receiving sleeve which partially accommodates one of the electrical lines and including at least a first through-opening and a second through-opening for introducing a welding tool or for introducing the electrical lines,
- the at least one metallic receiving sleeve having at least one compression section located between the first and second through-openings, in which the at least one metallic receiving sleeve can be radially compressed.
An electrical line assembly comprising:
- multiple electrical lines;
- a line connector having at least one open-ended receiving sleeve in which the multiple electrical lines are at least partially received, compressed, and materially bonded within a compression section of the at least one open-ended receiving sleeve.
A process for producing an electrical connection between two or more electrical lines comprising:
- preparation of a line connector with at least one receiving sleeve having two through-openings;
- partially introducing the electrical lines into the at least one receiving sleeve;
- radially compressing the least one receiving sleeve;
- and
- bonding the electrical lines with the at least one receiving sleeve by a friction welding tool inserted through at least one of the two through-openings and then rotated relative to the electrical lines.
