A computer-implemented method for transcode lifecycle buffering that includes instructing a transcoding service to transcode a video file to generate a transcoded video file. A file path for a storage location of the transcoded video file may be automatically received and automatically stored.

A computer-implemented method for transcode lifecycle buffering, comprising:
- instructing a transcoding service to transcode a video file to generate a transcoded video file;
- automatically receiving a file path for a storage location of the transcoded video file;

- automatically storing the file path.
