Portable electronic device performing similar operations for different gestures

A portable electronic device, comprising:

• a touch screen display;
• one or more processors;
• and
• memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
• displaying, on the touch screen display, a plurality of application windows, wherein the plurality of application windows are displayed in an ordered set, and wherein at least one of the plurality of application windows is partially hidden;
• while displaying the plurality of application windows, detecting a gesture on the touch screen display;
• in response to detecting the gesture:
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a tap gesture at a predefined location on the touch screen display, enlarging a respective application window of the plurality of application windows;
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a swipe gesture in a first direction, translating the ordered set in the first direction;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a swipe gesture in a second direction, translating the order set in the second direction.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of a portable electronic device with a touch screen display, the one or more programs including instructions for:

• displaying, on the touch screen display, a plurality of application windows, wherein the plurality of application windows are displayed in an ordered set, and wherein at least one of the plurality of application windows is partially hidden;
• while displaying the plurality of application windows, detecting a gesture on the touch screen display;
• in response to detecting the gesture:
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a tap gesture at a predefined location on the touch screen display, enlarging a respective application window of the plurality of application windows;
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a swipe gesture in a first direction, translating the ordered set in the first direction;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a swipe gesture in a second direction, translating the order set in the second direction.

A method, comprising:

• at a portable electronic device with a touch screen display:
• displaying, on the touch screen display, a plurality of application windows, wherein the plurality of application windows are displayed in an ordered set, and wherein at least one of the plurality of application windows is partially hidden;
• while displaying the plurality of application windows, detecting a gesture on the touch screen display;
• in response to detecting the gesture:
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a tap gesture at a predefined location on the touch screen display, enlarging a respective application window of the plurality of application windows;
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a swipe gesture in a first direction, translating the ordered set in the first direction;
• and
• in accordance with a determination that the gesture corresponds to a swipe gesture in a second direction, translating the order set in the second direction.
