Abstract
Examples relate to improving unintended touch rejection. In this manner, the examples disclosed herein enable recognizing a touch on a touch-sensitive surface, capturing a set of data related to the touch, wherein the set of data comprises a set of spatial features relating to a shape of the touch over a set of time intervals, and determining whether the recognized touch was intended based on a comparison of a first shape of the touch at a first time interval of the set of time intervals and a second shape of the touch at a second time interval of the set of time intervals.
Claims15
A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by a machine, cause the machine to:
- recognize a touch on a touch-sensitive surface;
- capture data representing a shape of the touch at different times;
- and
- determine whether the recognized touch was intended based on a comparison of the shape of the recognized touch at different times as represented by the captured data to touch shapes that correspond to intended touches.
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory to store instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- capture data representing a shape of a recognized touch at different times;
- compare the shape of the recognized touch at different times as represented by the captured data to touch shapes that correspond to intended touches represented by stored data;
- determine whether the recognized touch was intended based on the comparison;
- and
- modify the stored data to modify features of the intended touches based on input from a user associated with the recognized touch.
A method comprising:
- accessing data representing spatial features of a touch recognized on a touch-sensitive component of a system at different times;
- comparing the touch at different times with a plurality of intended touches represented by stored data;
- determining whether the recognized touch was intended based on the comparison;
- responsive to determining that the touch was intended, providing information related to the recognized touch to the system;
- receiving user input related to user interaction with the touch-sensitive component of the system;
- and
- modifying the stored data based on the received user input.
