Self-securing bolt-retaining device

A bolt-retaining device, having a cylindrical device enveloping contour, a diameter of which is larger than a nominal diameter of the bolt-retaining device, comprising:

• at least one retaining section;
• a spreading section offset to the at least one retaining section in a longitudinal direction of the bolt-retaining device, the spreading section having at least one spreading arm tangential to the cylindrical device enveloping contour;
• a body;
• an expansion cap having an expansion cap enveloping contour, the expansion cap being held on an inner side of the body by separators,
• wherein the expansion cap comprises a receiving recess delimited by a cover in an insertion direction oriented from the at least one retaining section towards the spreading section,
• wherein the nominal diameter of the bolt-retaining device, reduced by twice a wall thickness of the spreading section, is smaller than an outer diameter of the expansion cap enveloping contour,
• wherein the body has at least one engaging element on the inner side, and
• wherein a longitudinal length of the bolt-retaining device, reduced by a length of the expansion cap, is greater than a distance of a retaining surface of the engaging element oriented in the insertion direction from an insertion opening the bolt-retaining device.
