Abstract
A drill bit for subterranean drilling operations is disclosed. The drill bit comprises a drill bit body with one or more blades. The drill bit further comprises a plurality of primary cutters, each primary cutter located on at least one blade, and a plurality of secondary cutters, each secondary cutter located on at least one blade other than the blade on which the primary cutters are located.
Claims12
1-9. (canceled)
A method for determining the placement of a plurality of secondary cutters on a drill bit, comprising:
- receiving at a processor of an information handling system a drill bit characteristic related to a plurality of primary cutters;
- and
- generating an output of the drill bit based, at least in part, on the drill bit characteristic.
A system for determining the placement of a plurality of secondary cutters on a drill bit, comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device coupled to the processor, the memory device including a set of instructions that, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to receive a drill bit characteristic and generate a wear representation of the drill bit.
