Abstract
A method and system for controlling access to a laundry machine is disclosed. A method includes receiving a reservation for the laundry machine for a time period; preparing a means for exclusive access to the laundry machine during the reserved time period; upon receiving the means for exclusive access, allowing the laundry machine to be used; wherein: the reservation is received remotely from the laundry machine.

A computer-implemented method for controlling access to a laundry machine comprising:
- receiving a reservation for the laundry machine for a time period;
- preparing a means for exclusive access to the laundry machine during the reserved time period;
- upon receiving the means for exclusive access, allowing the laundry machine to be used;
- wherein:
- the reservation is received remotely from the laundry machine.
