Abstract
Solid state forms of Linaclotide, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising them and medical uses thereof are provided. The solid state forms of Linaclotide are useful in the preparation of other solid state forms of Linaclotide, particularly the amorphous form.

Crystalline Form III of Linaclotide characterized by data selected from one or more of the following:
- an X-ray powder diffraction pattern having peaks at 5.1, 7.7, 10.3, 14.8 and 22.0 degrees two theta ±0.2 degrees two theta;
- or
- (ii) an X-ray powder diffraction pattern as depicted in FIG. 1;
- or
- (iii) a solid state 13C NMR having peaks at 18.5, 43.0, 49.9, 52.4, 56.5, 61.9, 115.7, 133.8, 169.1, 171.5 ppm ±2 ppm;
- or
- (iv) combinations of this data.
