Abstract
Isolated peptides are disclosed. The peptide comprises an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs: 1-5 and 11-15, with the proviso that the amino acid sequence does not consist of SEQ ID NO: 11, SEQ ID NO: 15 or SEQ ID NO: 1, wherein the peptide is no longer than 50 amino acids. Pharmaceutical compositions comprising same and uses thereof for treatment of diseases associated with serotonin transport and/or αVβ3 activity are also disclosed.

An isolated peptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs:
- 5 and 11-15, with the proviso that the amino acid sequence does not consist of SEQ ID NO:
- 11, SEQ ID NO:
- 15 or SEQ ID NO:
- 1, wherein the peptide is no longer than 50 amino acids.
An isolated peptide consisting of an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of 5 and 12-14.
A composition of matter comprising an isolated peptide which comprises an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs:
- 5 and 11-15, wherein the peptide is attached to a therapeutic moiety or a detectable moiety.
A method of treating a disease or condition associated with serotonin transport or a αVβ3 activity in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a peptide comprising an amino acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NOs:
- 11-15, thereby treating the disease.
