Inhalation Device Including Substance Usage Controls

A smoke inhalation apparatus comprising:

• a cartridge comprising a release device configured to release a substance;
• a controller configured to control the operation of the release device;
• and
• a communication device configured to allow a user to change and monitor settings of the smoke inhalation apparatus and/or a state of the smoke inhalation apparatus, the communication device including a display configured to indicate usage of the smoke inhalation apparatus, the communication device being configured to reprogram the controller to operate according to a modified usage limit different than an initial usage limit.

A method of changing settings for a smoke inhalation apparatus having a cartridge comprising a release device configured to release a substance into a housing, the method comprising:

• displaying information on a communication device of the smoke inhalation apparatus, the information indicating usage of the smoke inhalation apparatus;
• receiving input from a user through the communication device;
• and
• reprogramming the controller to operate according to a modified usage limit different than an initial usage limit, based on the input from the user.
