## Abstract

An image forming apparatus combines a plurality of sub-movies representing operation procedures to be performed to perform maintenance on the image forming apparatus and plays the combined sub-movies sequentially as one movie. In response to stopping the movie being played, the image forming apparatus displays a replay mark for use to issue a command to replay the movie from the beginning of a sub-movie corresponding to a position where the movie is stopped.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An image processing apparatus comprising:
a storage device configured to store a plurality of sub-movies, wherein at least one of the plurality of sub-movies represents an operation procedure to be performed by a user of the image processing apparatus; and
one or more processors executing a set of instructions to:
detect occurrence of a maintenance event;
specify a plurality of sub-movies based on the detected maintenance event; and
play the specified sub-movies in sequence.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the one or more processors executes the set of instructions to display the played sub-movies together with a play bar that represents a total length of the specified sub-movies.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The image processing apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the one or more processors executes the set of instructions to display the total play time of the specified sub-movies.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the maintenance event is running out of toner.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the maintenance event is a paper jam.

### Claim 6

A method for controlling an image processing apparatus which comprises a storage device configured to store a plurality of sub-movies, wherein at least one of the plurality of sub-movies represents an operation procedure to be performed by a user of the image processing apparatus, the method comprising:
detecting occurrence of a maintenance event;
specifying a plurality of sub-movies based on the detected maintenance event; and
playing the specified sub-movies in sequence.
