## Abstract

Methods and devices are provided to recover a robust management channel (RMC) in a first communication direction using a robust management channel recovery message (RMCR) sent via the RMC in a second communication direction.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method, comprising:
at a transceiver, detecting a failure of at least a robust management channel (RMC) in a first communication direction from a further transceiver to the transceiver, and
transmitting, by the transceiver, a robust management channel restoration (RMCR) command via a robust management channel in a second communication direction from the transceiver to the further transceiver in response to detecting the failure.
