## Abstract

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first wireless communication circuit that establishes a first wireless connection with an external mobile device, a second wireless communication circuit that wirelessly accesses an internet, a user interface, a processor, and a memory. The memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to, when a payment request occurs while the first wireless connection is interrupted, receive a user input, in response to receiving the user input, perform user authentication, when the user authentication is successful, transmit a first request for an authentication token to a first external server, receive a first response including the authentication token from the first external server, after receiving the first response, transmit a second request for a transaction token to the external mobile device, and receive a second response including the transaction token from the external mobile device.
