## Abstract

Route information data records are received from a navigation system indicating road elements and maneuvers between a starting point and a destination point. An estimated time of arrival is established using the route information data records. A personalized correction value based on the road elements, maneuvers, and a driver profile is determined. A personalized time of arrival is calculated based on the estimated time of arrival value and the personalized correction value.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for estimation of travel time of a previously untraveled route, comprising:
identifying a plurality of trips traveled by a driver including a plurality of maneuvers executed by the driver during the plurality of trips;
calculating at least one maneuver time based on the plurality of trips;
performing a training mode for a driver profile based on the at least one maneuver time; and
calculating a travel time for the previously untraveled route for the driver based on the driver profile trained in the training mode.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of maneuvers includes a movement executed on a roadway.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of maneuvers is defined according to a sequence of road elements such that each of the plurality of maneuvers is a transition from a first road element to a second road element.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of maneuvers includes an action.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, wherein the action transitions the driver from a first road element to a second road element.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the at least one maneuver time reflects an experience level of the driver.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
identifying a maneuver type in the plurality of maneuvers executed by the driver during the plurality of trips;
calculating maneuver times for the identified maneuver type; and
aggregating the maneuver times for the identified maneuver type.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
defining a maneuver vector including a value for each of the plurality of maneuvers executed by the driver during the plurality of trips, wherein the driver profile includes the maneuver vector.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
defining a maneuver vector including a value for different types of maneuvers from the plurality of maneuvers executed by the driver during the plurality of trips, wherein the driver profile includes the maneuver vector.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of maneuvers is defined by characteristics of movements.

### Claim 11

An apparatus for estimation of travel time of a previously untraveled route according to experience level, the apparatus comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs;
the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to at least:
identify a plurality of trips traveled by a driver including a plurality of maneuvers executed by one or more drivers during the plurality of trips;
calculate at least one maneuver time based on traversals in the plurality of trips;
perform a training mode for a driver profile based on the at least one maneuver time; and
calculate a travel time for the previously untraveled route based on the driver profile trained in the training mode.
