## Abstract

A volumetric enclosure or enclosures and/or a cellular structure pole foundation is provided. The volumetric enclosure/s or cellular structure pole foundation may employ several embodiments: (1) a single or a plurality of volumetric enclosures at the vertical center of the foundation below the foundation's pole cavity; (2) a single or a plurality of volumetric enclosures at the vertical center of the foundation below the foundation's pole cavity and a cellular structure within the foundation walls and base; (3) a cellular structure throughout the entire body of the foundation; (4) a cellular structure within the foundation walls; (5) the above embodiments with fill material consisting of gas or fluid or solids retained inside the foundation walls; and (6) the above embodiments with solid fill material that can reach the foundation core through the pole cavity.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A system for producing a pole foundation, the system comprising:
a server having a memory and a processor storing and operating a software program for generating a pole foundation design;
a user computing device coupled to the server for providing data input to the server, wherein server, in response to receiving data input from the user computing device, is programmed through the software program to:
automatically produce pole foundation drawings in two-dimensional formats, three-dimensional formats, or two-dimensional formats and three-dimensional formats;
automatically perform structural analysis calculations;
automatically generate product specifications;
automatically generate fabrication drawings in response to processing the pole foundation drawings, the structural analysis calculations and the product specifications; and
automatically generate a pole foundation fabrication file for fabricating the pole foundation, wherein the pole foundation fabrication file comprises instructions for fabricating a cellular pole foundation, a volumetric pole foundation or a cellular and volumetric pole foundation without human interaction.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the foundation program includes instructions performed by the server to account for at least one of environmental conditions in a locality of use of the pole foundation; structural loading of the pole and pole mounted devices; codes and requirements of governing authorities; optional features selected by a designer operating the computing device; one or more general parameters; and
optimization of a size, weight and material of the pole foundation.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the foundation program includes instructions performed by the server to generate at least one of a foundation unit cost proposal; a foundation shipping weight; a foundation shipping dimension; a quantity or pole foundations per truck flatbed size; and a shipping date corresponding to an order entry.

### Claim 4

A pre-fabricated pole foundation comprising:
a monolithic pole foundation having a foundation structure that is fabricated in part or in whole with cellular enclosures, volumetric enclosures or cellular and volumetric enclosures, wherein the monolithic pole foundation comprises one of:
a pole retaining cavity with a dedicated weep hole between the cavity and a pole wall, the weep hole located at a bottom of the cavity;
a pole anti-rotation device, a pole uplift prevention device or a pole anti-rotation and uplift prevention device; and
power or power and data entry into the pole retaining cavity through a retained pole bottom opening.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, further comprising embedded power or power and data conduits, power or power and data enclosures, or power or power and data conduits and enclosures embedded in walls of the pole foundation fabricated monolithically concurrently with the monolithic fabrication of the pole foundation.

### Claim 6 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, wherein a pole foundation cavity wall comprises at least one spout for entry of or evacuation of a fill substance formed of fluid, gas or solids into the pole foundation structure interior.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The pole foundation of claim 6, wherein at least one cavity inside the foundation structure retains the fill substance to act as foundation ballast.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The pole foundation of claim 7, wherein the fill substance is changeable in state in response to coming in contact with air, an admixture or air and an admixture.

### Claim 9 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, further comprising a pole cap, wherein the pole cap centers the pole vertically within the pole cavity.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The pole foundation of claim 9, wherein the pole cap couples the pole to the foundation and inhibits pole rotation and uplift.

### Claim 11 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, wherein the cellular enclosure, the volumetric enclosure or the cellular and volumetric enclosure is fabricated of metallic or non-metallic material.

### Claim 12 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, wherein the cellular enclosure, the volumetric enclosure or the cellular and volumetric enclosure is fabricated free of metallic reinforcing.

### Claim 13 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, wherein the pole foundation is fabricated by additive technology.

### Claim 14 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, wherein the pole foundation receives and retains straight shaft poles and tapered shaft poles of different cross-sectional profile.

### Claim 15 (depends on 4)

The pole foundation of claim 4, wherein the pole is formed of metallic or non-metallic material.

### Claim 16

A method of performing pole foundation design and fabrication using a server operating a software program, the method comprising:
