## Abstract

Pharmaceutical compositions are disclosed that includes a therapeutically effective amount of a purified viable Gram negative bacteria and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The pharmaceutical compositions are formulated for topical administration. Methods of treating atopic dermatitis using these pharmaceutical compositions are also disclosed.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A kit for treatment of atopic dermatitis, comprising:
a) a first container comprising a pharmaceutical composition, wherein the pharmaceutical composition comprises:
a therapeutically effective amount of at least one strain of Roseomonas mucosa, wherein said strain of Roseomonas mucosa comprises a nucleic acid sequence selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 2, and SEQ ID NO: 3; and
b) instructions for applying the therapeutically effective amount of the pharmaceutical composition to skin of a subject in need thereof.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein the first container further comprises a first pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The kit of claim 2, wherein the first pharmaceutically acceptable carrier comprises sucrose.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The kit of claim 3, wherein the first pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is sucrose.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein pharmaceutical composition is lyophilized.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, further comprising a second container comprising a second pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

### Claim 7 (depends on 6)

The kit of claim 6, wherein the second pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is in a topical dosage form of a cream, gel, foam, ointment, or liquid.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The kit of claim 7, wherein the topical dosage form is liquid.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The kit of claim 8, wherein the second pharmaceutically acceptable carrier is water.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein said strain of Roseomonas mucosa is isolated from a subject that does not have atopic dermatitis.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein the subject is an adult.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein the subject is a child.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein the subject is an infant.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein said strain of Roseomonas mucosa comprises the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 1.

### Claim 15 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein said strain of Roseomonas mucosa comprises the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2.

### Claim 16 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein said strain of Roseomonas mucosa comprises the nucleic acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 3.

### Claim 17 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein the at least one strain of Roseomonas mucosa comprises a mixture of three strains of Roseomonas mucosa, and wherein each of said strains comprises one of the nucleic acid sequences selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 2, and SEQ ID NO: 3.

### Claim 18 (depends on 1)

The kit of claim 1, wherein the at least one strain of Roseomonas mucosa is present in the pharmaceutical composition in a total amount of 104 to 1012 colony forming units.
