## Abstract

An automated outdoor modular vertical plant cultivation system forming a vertical structure is provided. The system includes a plurality of shelves, each shelf having a web and flanges; two posts, each post having a web and flanges. Each shelf of the plurality of shelves is mounted between the two posts with incremental spacing between each adjacent shelf along a vertical length of the two posts. The web of each shelf includes a plurality of openings for retaining planter vessels. The flanges of each shelf retain an embedded structural member. The system includes a fluid circulatory system including shelf irrigation piping extending longitudinally above the web of each shelf; and power or power and data and fluid members for the system distributed from vertical risers located in proximity to the web of the posts, wherein the flanges of the shelves have provisions to retain the fluid circulatory system.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A modular vertical cultivation system comprising:
at least one planter shelf having flanges and a web extending between the flanges with at least one opening in the web for retaining a planter vessel; and
two posts supporting the at least one planter shelf at each end of the at least one planter shelf, wherein:
the at least one planter shelf further includes flanges for supporting a combined load of the planter shelf, planter vessel and fluid and power devices of the modular vertical cultivation system; and
the at least one planter shelf, the planter vessel, and the two posts are fabricated of one of non-metallic material, metallic material, or a combination of non-metallic and metallic material.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the post retains elements that form an opaque or non-opaque wall.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein at least one structure element located between the planter shelf flanges toward the bottom prevent the planter shelf flanges from flaring out or caving in.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, further comprising a continuous fluid pipe or continuous fluid pipe and lighting source mounted onto the planter shelf.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein a high tensile strength reinforcement member is embedded within or on the planter shelf flanges.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein the planter shelf bracket mounting height is flexible along a web of the post.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, further comprising at least one photovoltaic device, IoT device, or photovoltaic device and IoT device are installed on and in the plant cultivation system.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, further comprising an enclosure at a top of the planter shelf to retain a shading device or store power generated by a photovoltaic panel.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein at least one of the post fluid or fluid and power devices mounted on the web is contained inside an enclosure.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The system of claim 1, wherein at least one post retains back to back shelves with or without a partition wall in between the shelves.

### Claim 11

A panelized wall system comprising:
at least one planter shelf; and
two posts supporting a load of the at least one planter shelf, wherein:
at least one of the posts includes an electromechanical chase; and
the two posts retain at least one wall panel and transfers a load of the wall panel laterally to a surface below the panelized wall system.

### Claim 12

A modular vertical cultivation system comprising:
at least one planter shelf coupled to two posts with shelf brackets, the planter shelf comprising a web extending between flanges, the web having at least one opening that retains a planter vessel, wherein the planter shelf is configured to receive at least one of:
an opaque or non-opaque panel/screen/fence or a sound attenuation panel;
a fluid circulatory system;
bar/s; and
a light source; and
fluid or fluid and power devices mounted on the posts for flowing fluid or fluid and power to the plant vessel or plant vessel and electrical devices mounted on and in the planter shelf.

### Claim 13 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, further comprising a continuous fluid pipe with drip spouts or continuous pipe with drip spouts and lighting source/s mounted onto the planter shelf.

### Claim 14 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, further comprising a high tensile strength reinforcement member embedded inside or on the planter shelf flanges.

### Claim 15 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, further comprising the planter shelf bracket mounting height is adjustable along the web of the post.

### Claim 16 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, further comprising the plant cultivation system assembly in part or in whole is made of non-metallic material.

### Claim 17 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, further comprising at least one photovoltaic device, IoT device, or photovoltaic device and IoT device are installed on and in the plant cultivation system.

### Claim 18 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, further comprising an enclosure at a top of the planter shelf to retain a shading device or store power generated by a photovoltaic panel.

### Claim 19 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, wherein at least one of the post fluid or fluid and power devices mounted on the web is contained inside an enclosure.

### Claim 20 (depends on 12)

The system of claim 12, wherein at least one post retains back to back shelves with or without a partition wall in between.
