Abstract
A method includes triggering, by a Medium Access Control (MAC) entity of a User Equipment device (UE), a first Scheduling Request (SR) procedure for a first logical channel, wherein the first logical channel is not configured with a valid Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource for the first SR procedure; and performing, by the MAC entity of the UE, a plurality of procedures in response to triggering the first SR procedure, wherein the procedures includes: initiating a Random Access (RA) procedure and canceling the first SR procedure.
Claims21
A method comprising:
- triggering, by a Medium Access Control (MAC) entity of a User Equipment device (UE), a first Scheduling Request (SR) procedure for a first logical channel, wherein the first logical channel is not configured with a valid Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource for the first SR procedure;
- and
- performing, by the MAC entity of the UE, a plurality of procedures in response to the triggering of the first SR procedure, wherein the procedures comprise:
- initiating a Random Access (RA) procedure;
- and
- canceling the first SR procedure.
A User Equipment (UE) comprising:
- one or more non-transitory computer-readable media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon;
- and
- at least one processor coupled to the one or more non-transitory computer-readable media, and configured to execute the computer-executable instructions to:
- trigger a first Scheduling Request (SR) procedure for a first logical channel, wherein the first logical channel is not configured with a valid Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource for the first SR procedure;
- and
- perform a plurality of procedures in response to the triggering of the first SR procedure, wherein the procedures comprise:
- initiating a Random Access (RA) procedure;
- and
- canceling the first SR procedure.
A method comprising:
- determining, by a Medium Access Control (MAC) entity of a User Equipment (UE), whether a condition is satisfied;
- when the condition is satisfied, performing at least one first procedure, the at least one first procedure comprising:
- keeping a first SR procedure triggered for a first logical channel pending, wherein the first logical channel is not configured with a valid Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) resource for the first SR procedure;
- and
- when the condition is not satisfied, performing a plurality of second procedures, the second procedures comprising:
- initiating a Random Access (RA) procedure;
- and
- canceling at least one selected SR procedure triggered for at least one logical channel, the at least one selected SR procedure comprising the first SR procedure.
