Dynamic communication routing based on consistency weighting and routing rules

A computer-implemented method comprising:

• routing a message between a network device and a terminal device;
• accessing a continuous-channel rule, wherein the continuous-channel rule includes a condition under which a continuous channel is to be established between the network device and the terminal device;
• determining a characteristic of the message;
• determining whether the condition is satisfied based on the characteristic of the message, wherein determining whether the condition is satisfied includes comparing a value of the characteristic to a threshold of the condition;
• establishing the continuous channel between the network device and the terminal device, and routing a subsequent message between the network device and the terminal device when the condition is satisfied based on the characteristic of the message;
• and
• routing a subsequent message between the network device and a different terminal device when the condition is not satisfied based on the characteristic of the message.

A system comprising:

• one or more data processors;
• and
• a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium containing instructions which, when executed on the one or more data processors, cause the one or more data processors to preform operations including:
• routing a message between a network device and a terminal device;
• accessing a continuous-channel rule, wherein the continuous-channel rule includes a condition under which a continuous channel is to be established between the network device and the terminal device;
• determining a characteristic of the message;
• determining whether the condition is satisfied based on the characteristic of the message, wherein determining whether the condition is satisfied includes comparing a value of the characteristic to a threshold of the condition;
• establishing the continuous channel between the network device and the terminal device, and routing a subsequent message between the network device and the terminal device when the condition is satisfied based on the characteristic of the message;
• and
• routing a subsequent message between the network device and a different terminal device when the condition is not satisfied based on the characteristic of the message.

A computer-program product tangibly embodied in a non-transitory machine-readable storage medium, including instructions configured to cause a data processing apparatus to perform operations including:

• routing a message between a network device and a terminal device;
• accessing a continuous-channel rule, wherein the continuous-channel rule includes a condition under which a continuous channel is to be established between the network device and the terminal device;
• determining a characteristic of the message;
• determining whether the condition is satisfied based on the characteristic of the message, wherein determining whether the condition is satisfied includes comparing a value of the characteristic to a threshold of the condition;
• establishing the continuous channel between the network device and the terminal device, and routing a subsequent message between the network device and the terminal device when the condition is satisfied based on the characteristic of the message;
• and
• routing a subsequent message between the network device and a different terminal device when the condition is not satisfied based on the characteristic of the message.
