Server device and transfer device for content distribution system

A transfer device for a content distribution system, in which a request packet including a content name of content that is requested to be distributed is transferred based on the content name, the transfer device comprising:

• a holding unit configured to hold transfer information indicating a relationship between content requested by a request packet and an interface to which the request packet is to be transferred;
• a determination unit configured to determine, if a broadcast message indicating content and including list information is received, whether or not to transfer a request packet requesting the content, based on an identifier of the transfer device and the list information when the request packet is received;
• and
• a processing unit configured to add, to the transfer information, an interface that has received the broadcast message as an interface to which the request packet requesting the content indicated by the broadcast message is to be transferred, if the determination unit determines that the request packet is to be transferred, and to add, to the transfer information, information indicating that the request packet requesting the content indicated by the broadcast message is not to be transferred, if the determination unit determines that the request message is not to be transferred,
• wherein the list information included in the broadcast message is generated based on an identifier of a transfer device to which the content indicated by the broadcast message can be transmitted, of a plurality of transfer devices in the content distribution system, or is generated based on an identifier of a transfer device to which the content indicated by the broadcast message cannot be transmitted.

A transfer device for a content distribution system, in which a request packet including a content name of content that is requested to be distributed is transferred based on the content name, the transfer device comprising:

• a determination unit configured to determine, if a broadcast message indicating content and including list information is received, whether or not to transfer the broadcast message to another transfer device, based on an identifier of the other transfer device and the list information;
• and
• a processing unit configured to transfer the broadcast message to the other transfer device if the determination unit determines that the broadcast message is to be transferred, and not transferring the broadcast message to the other transfer device if the determination unit determines that the broadcast message is not to be transferred,
• wherein the list information included in the broadcast message is generated based on an identifier of a transfer device to which the content indicated by the broadcast message can be transmitted, of a plurality of transfer devices in the content distribution system, or is generated based on an identifier of a transfer device to which the content indicated by the broadcast message cannot be transmitted.

A server device for a content distribution system, in which a request packet including a content name of content that is requested to be distributed is transferred based on the content name,

• the content distribution system including a plurality of networks, each including one or more transfer devices,
• the server device comprising:
• a holding unit configured to hold list information indicating a network to which content can be transmitted, or a network to which content cannot be transmitted, of the plurality of networks;
• and
• a communication unit configured to transmit, if a request packet requesting content is received, a data packet including the content and the list information regarding the content.

A server device for a content distribution system, in which a request packet including a content name of content that is requested to be distributed is transferred based on the content name,

• the content distribution system including a plurality of networks, each including one or more transfer devices,
• the server device comprising:
• a holding unit configured to hold list information indicating a network to which content can be transmitted, or a network to which content cannot be transmitted, of the plurality of networks;
• and
• a communication unit configured to transmit information indicating content and the list information regarding the content to a transfer device in the content distribution system.
