Abstract
A system and method for enabling a cloud computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, the system can include a variety of hardware and/or software components and features, which can be used in delivering an infrastructure, platform, and/or applications to support public and private clouds.
Claims19
A system for providing tenants of a cloud computing environment with service instances, comprising:
- one or more computers, including a processor and a cloud environment executing thereon that operates to provide service instances within the cloud computing environment, wherein each of the service instances provides an application server instance for execution of software applications;
- an identity manager that associates tenants of the cloud computing environment with identity domains and name space schemas;
- and
- wherein, in response to an order to create a service instance to be associated with a tenant, the system orchestrates provisioning and deployment of the service instance to the cloud computing environment, including that
- the service instance is associated with a name space schema that is unique to the tenant and the service instance;
- and
- an interface is associated with the service instance as deployed, that enables deployment of one or more software applications to the service instance for execution therein.
2-18. (canceled)
A method for providing tenants of a cloud computing environment with service instances, comprising:
- providing, within a cloud computing environment, a cloud service that operates to provide service instances within the cloud computing environment, wherein each of the service instances provides an application server instance for execution of software applications;
- and
- providing an identity manager that associates tenants of the cloud computing environment with identity domains and name space schemas;
- wherein, in response to an order to create a service instance to be associated with a tenant, the system orchestrates provisioning and deployment of the service instance to the cloud computing environment, including that
- the service instance is associated with a name space schema that is unique to the tenant and the service instance;
- and
- an interface is associated with the service instance as deployed, that enables deployment of one or more software applications to the service instance for execution therein.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium, including instructions stored thereon which when read and executed by one or more computers cause the one or more computers to perform a method comprising:
- providing, within a cloud computing environment, a cloud service that operates to provide service instances within the cloud computing environment, wherein each of the service instances provides an application server instance for execution of software applications;
- and
- providing an identity manager that associates tenants of the cloud computing environment with identity domains and name space schemas;
- wherein, in response to an order to create a service instance to be associated with a tenant, the system orchestrates provisioning and deployment of the service instance to the cloud computing environment, including that
- the service instance is associated with a name space schema that is unique to the tenant and the service instance;
- and
- an interface is associated with the service instance as deployed, that enables deployment of one or more software applications to the service instance for execution therein.
