Flexible display device manufacturing method and manufacturing apparatus

An apparatus for manufacturing a flexible display device having a protection layer covering a display on a flexible substrate, the apparatus comprising:

• a first suction section configured to apply suction to the protection layer;
• and
• a second suction section configured to apply suction to a carrier substrate, which is coupled to the flexible substrate, on a side opposite to the display and pull and separate the carrier substrate from the flexible substrate,
• wherein the first suction section includes:
• a low-pressure section configured to apply relatively low suction to the protection layer over the display;
• and
• a high-pressure section configured to apply relatively high suction to an edge portion of the flexible substrate extending beyond the display and exposed outside the protection layer.
