Robotic regression testing for smart devices

A system comprising:

• one or more processing devices;
• and
• one or more non-transitory machine-readable storage devices storing instructions that are executable by the one or more processing devices to cause performance of operations comprising:
• generating, by a task module of a computing system, multiple distinct test plans;
• merging, by the task module, each of the multiple distinct test plans to produce a first test plan for execution by the computing system;
• obtaining, by the computing system, performance data about automated execution of the first test plan by a robotics system controlled by the computing system;
• generating, by a learning module of the computing system and based on analysis of the performance data, a set of learned inferences for determining predictions about execution of the first test plan;
• adjusting, by the task module, the first test plan based on the set of learned inferences and predictions about execution of the first test plan;
• generating, by the task module and based on adjustments to the first test plan, a second test plan for execution by the computing system;
• and
• performing, by the computing system, the second test plan to test multiple devices using the robotics system controlled by the computing system.

One or more non-transitory machine-readable storage devices storing instructions that are executable by one or more processing devices to cause performance of operations comprising:

• generating, by a task module of a computing system, multiple distinct test plans;
• merging, by the task module, each of the multiple distinct test plans to produce a first test plan for execution by the computing system;
• obtaining, by the computing system, performance data about automated execution of the first test plan by a robotics system controlled by the computing system;
• generating, by a learning module of the computing system and based on analysis of the performance data, a set of learned inferences for determining predictions about execution of the first test plan;
• adjusting, by the task module, the first test plan based on the set of learned inferences and predictions about execution of the first test plan;
• generating, by the task module and based on adjustments to the first test plan, a second test plan for execution by the computing system;
• and
• performing, by the computing system, the second test plan to test multiple devices using the robotics system controlled by the computing system.
