Method of manufacturing display device and display device

A display device including a louver capable of changing viewing angle, the display device comprising:

• a first substrate;
• color filters on the first substrate;
• a resin layer having louver grooves between the color filters and the first substrate;
• dispersion medium and electrophoretic particles contained in the louver grooves;
• a sealing layer having a flat face on the side of the color filters, the sealing layer being disposed between the resin layer and the color filters to close the louver grooves;
• and
• a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer sandwiching the resin layer and the sealing layer in a stacking direction, the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer being configured to apply voltage to the electrophoretic particles to change states of the electrophoretic particles in the dispersion medium.
