Abstract
A control device performs a control process including the steps of: determining whether a predetermined condition has been established; when it has been determined that the predetermined condition has been established, clearing a counter; performing reverse rotation control; performing forward rotation control; incrementing the counter; and determining whether the counter's counted value has reached an upper limit.
Claims11
A hydroelectric power generation apparatus comprising:
- a hydraulic turbine configured to rotate in a first direction by receiving a water current;
- a power generator coupled with the hydraulic turbine;
- and
- a control device configured to control the power generator, the control device being configured to perform reverse rotation control and forward rotation control, the reverse rotation control causing a torque in a second direction opposite to the first direction to act on the hydraulic turbine to rotate the hydraulic turbine in the second direction, the forward rotation control reversing a direction of rotation of the hydraulic turbine to the first direction.
