Provided is a flame-retardant fabric having a color that satisfies the criteria required by the international standard for high visibility ISO20471. The fabric includes polyetherimide-based fibers that contain a white pigment.

A flame-retardant fabric comprising polyetherimide-based fibers containing a white pigment, the fabric having a color that satisfies the criteria required by the international standard for high visibility ISO20471.
A method for producing a polyetherimide-based fiber, the method comprising dyeing a polyetherimide-based fiber containing a white pigment at a temperature from 100° C. to 125° C. to give the fiber a color that satisfies the criteria required by the international standard for high visibility ISO20471.
