Abstract
A heat-sealable adhesive tape is provided that includes: a hot-melt adhesive layer; and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer adjacent to the hot-melt adhesive layer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprising a blend of: b1) at least one poly(meth)acrylate, and b2) at least one selected from an elastomeric material and a thermoplastic-elastomeric material.
Claims20
A heat-sealable adhesive tape, comprising:
- a hot-melt adhesive layer;
- and
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer adjacent to the hot-melt adhesive layer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprising a blend of:
- b1) at least one poly(meth)acrylate, and
- b2) at least one selected from an elastomeric material and a thermoplastic-elastomeric material.
2 more elements
A heat-sealable adhesive tape, comprising:
- a hot-melt adhesive layer;
- and
- a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer adjacent to the hot-melt adhesive layer, the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprising a blend of:
- b1) at least one poly(meth)acrylate, and
- b2) at least one selected from an elastomeric material and a thermoplastic-elastomeric material,
- wherein a surface of the hot-melt adhesive adjacent to the pressure-sensitive layer is characterized by a CO2-corona pre-treatment.
3 more elements
A method of making a heat-sealable adhesive tape, comprising
- providing a hot-melt adhesive layer;
- treating a surface of the hot-melt adhesive layer with a CO2-corona to define a treated surface;
- and
- contacting the treated surface of the hot-melt adhesive layer with a surface of a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer to form the tape,
- wherein the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer comprises a blend of:
- b1) at least one poly(meth)acrylate, and
- b2) at least one selected from an elastomeric material and a thermoplastic-elastomeric material.
