Abstract
A parking beacon for defining a target position for a vehicle can be configured to generate a parking location indicator for detection by a parking assist controller. The parking beacon can include a beacon control unit and a projection system. The beacon control unit can be configured to control the projection system to generate the parking location indicator.

A system, comprising:
- a parking assist controller;
- and
- a parking beacon for defining a target position for a vehicle, the parking beacon being configured to generate a parking location indicator for detection by the parking assist controller.
