Braille printers and methods of making and using the same

A Braille printing head capable of forming Braille characters on a paper substrate, said Braille printing head comprising:

• a plurality of strike pins;
• an impact substrate having at least one strike pin hole therein for each strike pin within said plurality of strike pins to extend through;
• and
• a force-providing component, said force-providing component being positioned to apply a force onto said impact substrate so as to move (i) said impact substrate and (ii) one or more selected strike pins within said plurality of strike pins that are engaged with or connected to said impact substrate towards a paper substrate to impact the paper substrate and form a Braille character.
