Abstract
The present invention is capable of providing a medical device that not only exhibits superior water-leakage properties and anti-contaminant properties, but also has highly durable lubricity. The present invention also may provide a method of manufacturing the medical device via a simple process without inducing substrate deformation. Specifically, provided is a medical device having a layer containing two or more types of ionic polymer on at least part of the surface of a medical device substrate, at least one of the two or more types of ionic polymer being a block polymer that has a hydrophobic segment.

A medical device having a layer containing two or more ionic polymers on at least a part of a surface of a medical device substrate, wherein at least one of the two or more ionic polymers is a block polymer having a hydrophobic segment.
