Abstract
The present disclosure provides a Pennisetum extract, process for manufacturing the same, and uses thereof for inhibiting differentiation and/or activation of osteoclast, and prevention and/or treatment of osteoporosis.
Claims18
An extract composition comprising a Pennisetum extract, wherein the Pennisetum extract is manufactured by a process comprising following steps:
- (a) providing Pennisetum;
- and
- (b) extracting the Pennisetum with an alcohol solution to obtain a Pennisetum alcohol extract.
A method for preventing and/or treating osteoporosis in a subject in need of such treatment, comprising administering to the subject an effective amount of an extract composition comprising a Pennisetum extract, wherein the Pennisetum extract is manufactured by a process comprising following steps:
- (a) providing Pennisetum;
- and
- (b) extracting the Pennisetum with an alcohol solution to obtain a Pennisetum alcohol extract.
