Abstract
The present invention discloses an herbal anti-AMD composition for treatment of age related macular diseases (AMD). More specifically, the present invention relates to an herbal composition for the prevention, management and treatment of neo-vascular or wet AMD.

An herbal anti-AMD composition which downregulates VEGF protein/activity and PDGF protein/activity, comprising:
- (a) at least one first herbal extract selected from the group consisting of extracts of Cinnamomum verum, Terminalia chebula, and Acacia catechu in an amount of 40% to 50% by weight of the composition;
- (b) at least one second herbal extract selected from the group consisting of Silybum marianum and Curcuma longa, in an amount of 30% to 40% by weight of the composition;
- and
- (c) an extract of Punica granatum in an amount of 1% to 10% by weight of the composition.
