Abstract
A dental instrument with an interchangeable frustum roller with a fixed apical tip for unobstructed viewing a working surface on a tooth and for rapidly, precisely and homogenously distributing a restorative material on the surface of a tooth while avoiding adherence of an applied restorative material to the dental instrument.
Claims20
A dental instrument, comprising
- a shaft and a working end, said working end comprising an arm attached to, and projecting away from the shaft around which arm is a longitudinally mounted conical frustum roller that has a narrow section projecting away from the shaft and that is capped by a non-rotating rounded apical tip which forms an integral or detachable part of the arm;
- and
- wherein the frustum roller is mounted on the arm so that it can rotate around the longitudinal axis of the arm.
