Abstract
A device for shock wave production to treat a patient's body comprises a base with a condenser as power supply, an applicator having a pad, at least one piezo-element configured to generate a shock wave in response to a pulse of electric current having a pulse width, an acoustic lens configured to focus the shock wave, and a coil configured to increase the pulse width of the pulse of electric current.
Claims29
A device for shock wave production to treat a patient's body, comprising:
- a condenser;
- an applicator having a pad;
- at least one piezo-element in the applicator configured to generate at least one shock wave in response to a pulse of electric current from the condenser;
- an acoustic lens;
- and
- an inductance element configured to adjust a duration of a shock wave excitation electric pulse period.
The device according to claim 13, configured to provide shock waves, wherein a difference between maximal pressure values of a first and a second shock wave is in a range of 1% to 2000%.
A device for shock wave or acoustic wave production to treat a patient's body, comprising:
- a condenser as a power supply;
- an applicator having a pad;
- at least one piezo-element configured to generate at least one shock wave in response to a pulse of electric current;
- and
- an acoustic lens configured to focus the shock wave;
- wherein the at least one piezo-element is fixed in the applicator by a material having a dielectric constant in a range of 1.1 to 150 and a dielectric strength in a range of 15 kV·mm−1 to 60 kV·mm−1 and a flexural strength in a range of 40 MN·m−2 to 300 MN·m−2.
A method for shock wave production comprising:
- producing at least two shock waves generated by a shock wave excitation electric pulse wherein an energy of the shock wave in at least part of a focal volume is in a range of 0.01 mJ·mm−2 to 20 mJ·mm−2;
- wherein a difference between a maximal pressure value of a first and a second shock wave is in a range of 10% to 2000%;
- and
- wherein a time interval between the maximal pressure value of the first and the second shock wave is in a range from 100 ns to 10 μs.
