Abstract
Described are isolated strains of bacterial endophytes isolated from maize useful for the treatment of plants and associated methods and formulations. The bacterial endophyte may be applied to plants to promote growth. In one embodiment, the bacterial endophyte is an Enterobacter sp. known as 3D9 and deposited as IDAC strain 190917-01.
Claims20
An isolated culture of bacteria deposited as strain IDAC 190917-01.
A synthetic combination comprising bacteria deposited as strain IDAC 190917-01 in association with a plant, wherein the bacteria is heterologous to the plant.
A method of treating a plant to promote growth comprising contacting the plant with a bacteria deposited as strain IDAC 190917-01, wherein the bacteria colonizes the plant as an endophyte.
