Abstract
A releasable encapsulation composition is described. The composition comprises a plurality of capsules, each capsule comprising an amphiphilic material encapsulating a substance, such as an active ingredient. The substance is releasable from encapsulation by a change in the amphiphilic material triggered by a change in the environment around the capsule.
Claims20
A releasable encapsulation composition comprising:
- a plurality of capsules each comprising an amphiphilic material encapsulating a substance;
- the substance being releasable from encapsulation by a change in association of the amphiphilic material onto the substance, triggered by a change in environment around the capsule.
A releasable encapsulation composition comprising:
- a plurality of capsules each comprising an amphiphilic material encapsulating a substance;
- the substance being releasable from encapsulation by a change in association of the amphiphilic material onto the substance, triggered by a change in environment around the capsule;
- wherein the amphiphilic material is capable of forming a micelle around the substance when the capsule is dispersed in a liquid;
- and
- wherein the change in environment is dilution of a liquid in which the capsules are dispersed or a change in the pH of a liquid in which the capsules are dispersed.
