Abstract
Methods, systems, and apparatuses for performing Near-field communication (NFC) over a network are presented. In an implementation, a computing device may send to a mobile device a cellular signal that carries information for a NFC signal communication through a communication link, such as a cable. The computing device may determine that an NFC signal propagated from the mobile device has traversed or has been received over the communication link. The computing device may indicate receipt of the NFC signal, or initiate other actions.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- causing, via a wireless communication connection, a mobile device to send a wireless Near-Field Communication (NFC) signal to one or more wired outlets;
- receiving, via the one or more wired outlets, the wireless NFC signal from the mobile device;
- and
- sending, by a computing device and to the mobile device, a signal indicating receipt of the wireless NFC signal.
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a mobile device, from a computing device, and via a wireless communication connection, a request to send a wireless Near-Field Communication (NFC) signal to one or more wired outlets;
- sending, by the mobile device and to the one or more wired outlets, the wireless NFC signal;
- and
- receiving, by the mobile device and via the wireless communication connection, a signal indicating receipt of the wireless NFC signal.
A system comprising:
- a mobile device comprising a Near-Field Communication (NFC) transmitter;
- and
- a computing device comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing device to:
- cause, via a wireless communication connection, the mobile device to send a wireless NFC signal to one or more wired outlets;
- cause an NFC receiver to receive, via the one or more wired outlets, the wireless NFC signal from the mobile device;
- and
- send, to the mobile device, a signal indicating receipt of the wireless NFC signal.
