Disclosed is a color volume mapping method. A broadcast signal transmission method according to an embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: encoding video data and metadata for the video data; generating a broadcast signal including the encoded video data and metadata; and transmitting the generated broadcast signal.

A method of transmitting a broadcast signal, the method comprising:
- encoding video data and metadata for the video data;
- generating a broadcast signal including the encoded video data and the encoded metadata;
- and
- transmitting the generated broadcast signal.
A method of receiving a broadcast signal, the method comprising:
- receiving a broadcast signal including video data and metadata for video data;
- decoding the video data and the metadata included in the received broadcast signal;
- and
- displaying the video data using the metadata.
An apparatus for transmitting a broadcast signal, the apparatus comprising:
- an encoder to encode video data and metadata for the video data;
- a broadcast signal generation unit to generate a broadcast signal including the encoded video data and the encoded metadata;
- and
- a transmission unit to transmit the generated broadcast signal.
An apparatus for receiving a broadcast signal, the apparatus comprising:
- a tuner to receive a broadcast signal including video data and metadata for the video data;
- a decoder to decode the video data and the metadata included in the received broadcast signal;
- and
- a display to display the video data using the metadata.
