Abstract
A biometric authentication system is disclosed that provides authentication capability using biometric data in connection with a challenge for parties engaging in digital communications such as digital text-oriented, interactive digital communications. End-user systems may be coupled to devices that include biometric data capture devices such as retina scanners, fingerprint recorders, cameras, microphones, ear scanners, DNA profilers, etc., so that biometric data of a communicating party may be captured and used for authentication purposes.
Claims20
A method of authentication, comprising:
- receiving, by a server, a response to an identity challenge between a challenger device and a challenged device;
- receiving, by the server, a textual representation of the response to the identity challenge;
- determining, by the server, that the textual representation of the response was previously exchanged between the challenger device and the challenged device;
- and
- authenticating, by the server, the response to the identity challenge based on the determining that the textual representation of the response was previously exchanged.
A system, comprising:
- a hardware processor;
- and
- a memory device, the memory device storing instructions, the instructions when executed causing the hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving a response to an identity challenge between a challenger device and a challenged device;
- receiving a textual representation of the response to the identity challenge;
- determining that the textual representation of the response was previously exchanged between the challenger device and the challenged device;
- and
- authenticating the response to the identity challenge based on the determining that the textual representation of the response was previously exchanged.
A memory device storing instructions that when executed cause a hardware processor to perform operations, the operations comprising:
