Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). An operating method of a terminal in a wireless communication system includes: receiving SRS configuration information from a base station; and transmitting an SRS according to the SRS configuration information. The SRS configuration information includes a slot configuration comprising a slot periodicity for transmitting a SRS, and a slot offset for the slot periodicity.

Dependent claims

A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:

at least one transceiver;
and
at least one processor operably coupled to the at least one transceiver, and configured to:
control the at least one transceiver to receive, from a base station, a configuration message regarding a sounding reference signal (SRS);
and
control the at least one transceiver to transmit, to the base station, at least one reference signal based on the configuration message,
wherein the configuration message comprises a slot configuration comprising:
a slot periodicity for transmitting a SRS, and
a slot offset for the slot periodicity.
