Abstract
A power transmission apparatus includes a first power transmission coil having a planar shape, and a second power transmission coil having a planar shape, arranged outside the first power transmission coil. The second power transmission coil has an opening with a diameter greater than that of an opening of the first power transmission coil in a direction of a line of intersection on which a plane including a coil plane of the first power transmission coil and a plane including a coil plane of the second power transmission coil intersect with each other. The power transmission apparatus transmits power to a power reception coil without contact.
Claims9
A power transmission apparatus for transmitting power to a power reception coil without contact, the power transmission apparatus comprising:
- a first power transmission coil having a planar shape;
- and
- a second power transmission coil having a planar shape, arranged outside the first power transmission coil, wherein
- the second power transmission coil has an opening with a diameter greater than that of an opening of the first power transmission coil in a direction of a line of intersection on which a plane including a coil plane of the first power transmission coil and a plane including a coil plane of the second power transmission coil intersect with each other.
A power transmission apparatus for transmitting power to a power reception coil without contact, the power transmission apparatus comprising:
- a first power transmission coil having a planar shape, arranged so that a coil plane thereof lies in a first plane;
- and a second power transmission coil having a planar shape, placed outside the first power transmission coil so that a coil plane thereof lies in a second plane that forms an angle ϕ (0°<ϕ<180°) with respect to the first plane.
A power transfer system comprising:
- a first power transmission coil having a planar shape;
- a second power transmission coil having a planar shape, placed outside the first power transmission coil;
- and
- a power reception coil having a planar shape, arranged out of contact with the first power transmission coil and the second power transmission coil, wherein
- the second power transmission coil has an opening with a diameter greater than that of an opening of the first power transmission coil, and the power reception coil has an opening with a diameter intermediate between that of the opening of the first power transmission coil and that of the opening of the second power transmission coil, in a direction of a line of intersection on which a plane including a coil plane of the first power transmission coil and a plane including a coil plane of the second power transmission coil intersect with each other.
