Abstract
A multilayer ceramic capacitor includes a body including a dielectric layer and internal electrodes with external electrodes disposed on one surface of the body, wherein the external electrodes include a first electrode layer disposed on one surface of the body, in contact with the internal electrodes, and including titanium nitride (TiN), and a second electrode layer disposed on the first electrode layer.
Claims19
A multilayer ceramic capacitor comprising:
- a body including a dielectric layer and internal electrodes;
- and
- external electrodes disposed on one surface of the body,
- wherein
- the external electrodes include:
- a first electrode layer disposed on one surface of the body, in contact with the internal electrodes, and including titanium nitride (TiN);
- and
- a second electrode layer disposed on the first electrode layer.
A method of manufacturing a multilayer ceramic capacitor, the method comprising:
- preparing a body including a dielectric layer and internal electrodes;
- forming a first electrode layer including titanium nitride (TiN) on the entire surface of the body using an atomic layer deposition (ALD) method;
- forming a second electrode layer on portions of the body on which first and second external electrodes are to be formed such that the second electrode layer is disposed on the first electrode layer;
- and
- removing an exposed portion of the first electrode layer from the body where the second electrode layer is not formed.
A multilayer ceramic capacitor comprising:
- a body including a dielectric layer and internal electrodes;
- and
- external electrodes comprising a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer sequentially disposed on the body, the first electrode layer comprising titanium nitride and disposed conformally on an external surface of the body such that the first electrode layer is in contact with the internal electrodes.
