Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure are related to shopping management systems and associated methods. A method may include receiving information regarding an item selected by a consumer. The method may also include determining if the detected item is a prohibited item. Further, the method may include performing at least one action if the detected item is a prohibited item.

A system, comprising:
- a non-transitory memory storing instructions;
- a processor configured to execute the instructions to cause the system to:
- receive, over a first network connection, shopping cart information associated with items for purchase by a user of a device;
- analyze, the shopping cart information received, to determine if at least one item from the items for purchase are listed on a prohibited items list;
- in response to the analyze, determine a corresponding action associated with the at least one item from the items for purchase are found on the prohibited items list;
- and
- transmit a request, over a second network connection, to perform the determined action associated with the items for purchase.
