System and method for improved address entry

An electronic computing device enabled for electronic communication, the electronic computing device comprising:

• a processor;
• a memory, connected to the processor;
• and
• computer-readable instructions stored in the memory that when executed cause the processor to perform operations comprising
• receiving a first user input indicative of a first recipient for an electronic communication, wherein the first recipient comprises a first name and a last name;
• while the electronic communication is currently addressed to the first recipient:
• receiving, subsequent to receiving the first user input, a second user input in addition to the first recipient, the second user input being indicative of a portion of a second recipient for the electronic communication;
• and
• displaying an auto-complete list of one or more suggested recipients that correspond to the second user input, wherein the one or more suggested recipients do not include the first recipient.

A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer readable storage medium having computer readable program code embodied therewith, the computer readable program code configured to perform operations comprising:

• receiving a first user input indicative of a first recipient for an electronic communication, wherein the first recipient comprises a first name and a last name;
• while the electronic communication is currently addressed to the first recipient:
• receiving, subsequent to receiving the first user input, a second user input in addition to the first recipient, the second user input being indicative of a portion of a second recipient for the electronic communication;
• and
• displaying an auto-complete list of one or more suggested recipients that correspond to the second user input, wherein the one or more suggested recipients do not include the first recipient.
